Advertising Agency Ogilvy and Mather has emerged the Best Advertising Agency for the year 2016 after picking two of the four Platinum Best of the Best Awards at the 10th Gong-Gong awards held Saturday night.
The Agency shrugged off competition from 13 others to walk away with two Platinum awards on the night.
The event which is organized annually is aimed at acknowledging creative work in the advertising industry.
President of the Advertisers Association of Ghana, Joel Nettey explained to JOY BUSINESS their excitement with another successful ceremony adding, “the comments we received from our guest and clients shows that they are happy with the awards ceremony with an improvement over the years.”
He promised that they look to improving it to be better with the benefit of hindsight.
Some of the elated award winners including Nathan Dube from Ogilvy and Mather told JOY BUSINESS they went back to the drawing board after losing out last year and the efforts they have put in spoke for itself on the night.
“One of the best things we have done in the last year and a half is that we have integrated all our companies and I think they are one of the best-integrated companies in Ghana now.
“We have also strengthened our team and cut our dead woods as well as strengthen our ranks. Those attributes together with the power of our networks is what you see tonight,” he said.
The event was under the theme: Impact of Digital Advertising on Global Markets.
